Elevation: 2766m
Location: Between Banff and Lake Louise. 40 minutes from Canmore, 20 minutes from Lake Louise.
Season: mid May - late September.
Logistics: This mountain is climbed as a day trip from any of the surrounding towns, or even from Calgary.
Eisenhower Tower (II 5.4)
Length of Day: 10 - 13 hours
Max Group Size: 2
Prerequisites: At least one day of outdoor rock climbing experience including rappelling.
The classic route on the mountain. This climb makes an excellent first alpine rock climbing experience. It involves
a bit of scrambling, some exciting ridge climbing, a 250m headwall of rock climbing, and a number of rappells on the
descent. Although the climbing is never very difficult, you will be challenged by the length of the day and the magnificent
exposure.
Brewers Buttress (II 5.6)
Length of Day: 10 - 14 hours OR 2 days.
Max Group Size: 1 for single day ascents, 2 for two day ascents.
Prerequisites: A few days of rock climbing experience including rappelling. At least one previous
multipitch rock climb is highly recommended. Good fitness.
A somewhat longer and more difficult climb than Eisenhower Tower, this route also offers excellent rock climbing
throughout. This climb is also available as a 2 day ascent as there is a hut on the giant plateau half way up the
mountain.
Ultra Brewers (III 5.9)
Length of Day: 8 - 12 hours
Max Group Size: 1
Prerequisites: The ability to comfortably follow at least 5.9 rock climbing. Prior multipitch rock
climbing experience required.
This route ascends the lower tier of Castle mountain and climbs some of the best rock on the peak. The crux climbing
is up thin cracks on a smooth face of excellent dolomite.
Super Brewers (III 5.9)
Length of Day: 12 - 16 hours
Max Group Size: 1
Prerequisites: The ability to comfortably follow at least 5.9 rock climbing. Prior multipitch rock
climbing experience required. High level of fitness.
This massive and excellent rock climb is the link-up of Brewers Buttress and Ultra Brewers. It makes for 20 pitches of rock
climbing and a very long day.

gear listed below is mandatory. Please inform us well in advance if you need to borrow any of these items.
