"Beginner Ice Climbing days are a perfect choice for groups of friends, co-workers, families, or
youth groups looking for a fun winter adventure!"
Join us for an unforgettable experience this winter! Ice climbing is lots of fun and isn't as difficult or scary as you may think. We have successfully enjoyed ice climbing with groups of all ages & fitness levels, no previous climbing experience is neccessary.
After meeting at a location of your choice, we will head out to a nearby ice climbing canyon for a full day of fun. The morning will start with a lesson on using the gear and safety. Before long everyone will be enjoying taking turns climbing on routes of varying difficulty. Throughout the day your guide will continue to give advice, encouragement, and lessons on the various aspects of ice climbing.
Ice Climbing Locations
Beginner Ice Climbing days can take place at a number of areas in Kananaskis, Canmore, Banff, Lake Louise, Golden, Nordegg, or Jasper. The location is up to you!
Prerequisites for Ice Climbing
Anyone with basic walking fitness and a little bit of courage can have a fun and successful day of ice climbing! For youth
groups, the minimum age requirement is 12, waiver forms must be signed by a parent or legal guardian, and at least one adult
supervisor must accompany the group.
